Our Story

Welcome to VH Kitchen – a journey from banking to culinary craftsmanship. My professional path began in the world of banking, but my heart was always elsewhere. In 2013, I made the bold decision to leave my banking career behind. With a dream nurtured since childhood, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, aspiring to become a hotelier. Despite my qualifications in various fields and lack of direct experience, I launched a homestay in 2014. This leap of faith proved to be a resounding success, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey.

The Birth of VH Kitchen

VH Kitchen, derived from Vista House, is more than just a business; it’s a realization of a lifelong dream. Our homestay’s success, fueled by the warmth and stories of guests from around the globe, laid the foundation for VH Kitchen. Our guests, many of whom are food enthusiasts and professionals in the hospitality industry, shared not only their experiences but also their encouragement. They admired our culinary skills, our presentation, and our hospitality, which became the catalyst for VH Kitchen.

Our commitment to quality is backed by my education in food science from the University of Peradeniya, as well as continuous learning through training and practical sessions across Sri Lanka.
